I’ll be honest – when I first encountered the name Golden City Haven by Aparo – Nowy Apartament, Winda, Balkon, Szpital CKD, Uniwersytet, I thought someone had crammed every Polish keyword into a mixer. But you know what? Sometimes the lengthiest names conceal the best surprises, and this place on Telefoniczna Street is certainly one of them.

The location in Śródmieście is actually quite brilliant if you’re familiar with Łódź at all. You’re literally within walking distance of the university, which means there’s this wonderful energy throughout the neighborhood – solid cafés that remain open late, students hurrying around with their coffee, that kind of genuine city atmosphere that tourist areas never quite manage to capture. The building itself is one of those sturdy Polish apartment blocks, and honestly, the elevator (winda, as they so helpfully mention) is a blessing when you’re dragging luggage up to the third floor. I mean, it’s not the speediest thing around, but it beats climbing stairs with a heavy suitcase.

What really impressed me was the apartment itself – it’s truly new, not just “renovated in 2015 and we’re calling it new.” The balkon they mention isn’t massive, but it faces the right direction to capture morning light, and there’s something strangely satisfying about having your coffee out there while watching the neighborhood come alive. The entire setup feels like staying in a local’s place rather than a sterile hotel room, which I actually favor these days. The kitchen has everything you’d actually need (not just a mini-fridge and wishful thinking), and the bathroom… well, let’s just say the water pressure doesn’t play games. Small victories, right?

I stayed here during a particularly hectic conference season, and while some areas of the city were completely packed, this neighborhood maintained that residential tranquility. You can hear some street noise during the day – it’s a city, after all – but evenings are surprisingly peaceful. The proximity to CKD Hospital might sound odd, but it actually means the neighborhood has excellent infrastructure and late-night pharmacies, which proved useful when I needed some basic supplies. Plus, being near the university means public transport connections are solid, and you can actually navigate Łódź without too much trouble.

What impresses me most is that 9.4 rating – and after staying there, I understand it. It’s not attempting to be fancy or wow anyone, it simply delivers what it promises exceptionally well. Clean, comfortable, practical, with those small touches that show someone actually considered what travelers require. The check-in was smooth, the Wi-Fi didn’t abandon me during video calls, and honestly, the whole experience just felt… dependable. Sometimes that’s precisely what you want, especially in a city like Łódź where you’re probably there for business or university visits rather than a romantic getaway.

  Viešnagė buvo puiki nuo pat pirmos minutės! Apartamentai labai švarūs, jaukūs ir pilnai atitiko aprašymą. Labai patiko tyli aplinka ir patogi vieta – lengvai pasiekiamas miesto centras bei pagrindinės lankytinos vietos. Šeimininkai – itin malonūs ir paslaugūs, bendravimas sklandus. Viskas apgalvota iki smulkmenų: patogios lovos, gera virtuvėlės įranga, greitas Wi-Fi. Tikrai rekomenduoju visiems, ieškantiems kokybiškos ir patogios viešnagės Lodzėje. Ačiū už puikų priėmimą!

  It nice, tidy appartment, really good for a short stay. WIth big balcony (we couldn't use it because of the weather, but in summer time should be very nice). Furniture is quite simple, but as the whole building/appartment it's brand new. You can find everything you need and it has nice decor (althoug real books near the bed would have more use that those 'empty ones' 😉
  
  What could be improved: It's really very small. The sofa-bed in the living room is not very comfortable, it's too small if you want to fit there two children and going to one side. In bedroom you can hear everything what is going on in the living room (through the wall).

  Apartament w nowym bloku zlokalizowany w cichym i spokojnym miejscu, obok budowane są kolejne bloki, nie wpłynęło to na nasz komfort pobytu. W środku wszystko co trzeba, optymalne miejsce dla dwóch osób. Jeśli ktoś przyjedzie z dzieckiem tak jak my wystarczy rozłożyć kanapę w salonie ( pościel i cała reszta jest na miejscu). Ogromny plus za przypisane miejsce parkingowe, można zostawić auto i poruszać się autobusem czy taxi bez martwienia się o parking w centrum Łodzi.
  
  What could be improved: Jedyny minus to wg mnie za duży telewizor w salonie, zwyczajnie jest za mała odległość między kanapą i telewizorem.
