You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first booked GOLD APARTMENT Piotrkowska 37 – I mean, it’s got that slightly awkward apartment hotel name that makes you wonder if it’s legit. But honestly, this place completely won me over, and now I get why it’s sitting at a 9.7 rating.

The location is actually perfect if you want to experience real Łódź. You’re right on Piotrkowska Street, which is basically the city’s main artery – think of it as their version of a grand boulevard, but with more character and fewer tourists trampling around. I loved being able to step outside and immediately be in the middle of everything. There’s this great little café literally next door where locals grab their morning coffee (and trust me, Polish coffee culture is serious business), plus you’re walking distance to all the converted factory spaces that make Łódź so interesting. The Manufaktura shopping center is close enough when you need it, but far enough that you’re not dealing with crowds constantly.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to keep that apartment feel while still giving you proper hotel amenities. The space felt genuinely lived-in rather than sterile – I mean that in the best way possible. My room had these little touches that made it feel homey, like actual books on the shelf and artwork that wasn’t just generic hotel prints. The kitchen setup was surprisingly functional too, which came in handy since Polish grocery stores are fascinating and I ended up cooking a few meals. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy speeches about facilities I’ll never use, just friendly efficiency. The staff clearly knew the neighborhood well; when I asked about finding a good pierogi place, the recommendation led me to this tiny spot three blocks away that absolutely blew my mind. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of Śródmieście (the city center), but they actually helped sort that out, which saved me from circling around looking confused. The only minor thing I’d mention is that Piotrkowska can get a bit lively on weekend nights – not obnoxiously loud, but you’ll hear people walking by and chatting. Honestly though, it just added to the whole urban experience for me. This is the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-appointed apartment rather than just another hotel room, and in a city like Łódź that’s still finding its tourist feet, that personal touch makes all the difference.

  Pokój super czysty, a łóżko bardzo wygodne. Dużym plusem jest kuchnia z dostępem do cukru, kawy sypanej i rozpuszczalnej oraz małego ekspresu. Wyposażona było ona także w herbaty owocowe i czarna.

  Great location. Clean, beautiful, cozy apartment. All utilities necessary for a stay. Even netflix for late night relax. Host was polite and very responsive. Suggested cafe for pankakes was splendid. Would recommend this place and stay again. Thank you.
