The tram stop is right there too, which honestly saved me so much hassle getting around Łódź. I mean, the city’s not huge, but when you’re carrying shopping bags from Manufaktura (yeah, I know, total tourist move), you’ll appreciate not having to walk twenty blocks back to your room.

What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night. I’m someone who usually packs earplugs because city hotels can be brutal, but the building has this thick-walled, old-world construction that just swallows up street noise. The rooms themselves feel more like staying in a friend’s guest room than a hotel – there’s actual attention to detail here, like proper reading lights and outlets where you actually need them. The staff clearly takes pride in the place too; check-in felt more like being welcomed into someone’s home rather than processed through a system. I stayed during what I later learned was a pretty busy weekend (some festival was happening downtown), but you’d never know it from how smoothly everything ran. The breakfast situation is simple but thoughtful – fresh local stuff, not the usual hotel buffet nonsense.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me: they’ve managed to maintain that 9.7 rating without falling into the trap of trying too hard. No marble lobbies or over-the-top amenities, just solid comfort and genuine hospitality. The building has character – creaky floors that somehow feel charming rather than annoying, windows that actually open (revolutionary concept, right?), and bathrooms that clearly had real money spent on them. If you’re the type who needs a pool and room service, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want to feel like you’re staying somewhere with actual personality in one of Łódź’s most walkable neighborhoods, you’d be crazy not to book here. Just don’t wait too long – places like this don’t stay secret forever.
