East Street Apartamenty Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to East Street Apartamenty on Wschodnia Street, I wasn’t expecting much from this quiet corner of Śródmieście. The building has that understated Polish charm where you might walk right past it if you weren’t looking for the address. But you know what? That turned out to be exactly what made my stay so memorable.
The apartments here are what I’d call “lived-in comfortable” – not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but they’ve got everything you actually need when you’re exploring Łódź. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (I mean, they had decent knives, which is rarer than you’d think), and honestly, after walking around the city all day, having space to spread out and make coffee in your pajamas feels like luxury. The Wi-Fi actually works well too, which saved me when I needed to catch up on some work emails. What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night – Wschodnia isn’t one of those busy thoroughfares, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open. The neighborhood has this authentic residential feel where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning and kids playing in the courtyards.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re genuinely in a spot where Łódź residents actually live, not some touristy bubble. There’s a little grocery store about two blocks down that stays open late (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and you can walk to the main pedestrian street Piotrkowska in maybe fifteen minutes if you don’t mind a stroll. I actually preferred this to being right in the thick of things because you get a real sense of the city’s rhythm. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you settle in – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just doing the fundamentals really well. The value is incredible too, especially compared to what you’d pay for similar space in Warsaw or Kraków. My only tiny gripe? The shower pressure was a bit inconsistent, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for older buildings in this part of Europe. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want an authentic base where you can live like a local for a few days – make your own breakfast, take evening walks through quiet streets, maybe chat with neighbors in the courtyard – then East Street Apartamenty hits that sweet spot perfectly.
Lodz’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with industrial charm, perfect for creative travelers wanting to experience daily life in this artistically vibrant Polish city.

Reviews of East Street Apartamenty
Everything is nice and comfortable, except for parking. – Gabrielė from Lithuania – August 17, 2025 (8/10)
Near city center, comfortable, tidy and clean. Plenty of towels, big bed, nice baby cot.
What could be improved: The host didn’t offer his parking place… we arrived and just then found out about a parking space in house’s backyard, that we have to pay additionally for, so we parked on the street.Very Good – Reda from Lithuania – July 28, 2025 (8/10)
Good location, clean, nice design.
What could be improved: Too hot. No aircon. And the street nearby is too busy to sleep with open windows.Exceptional – Sharon from Israel – February 25, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: minor things were missing – a mirror next to entrance doors and microwaveExceptional – Graždanoviča from Latvia – June 11, 2024 (10/10)

Nice decor, Cozy, great localisation, good at providing items for our baby. Nice to have netflix and prime on the telly. We really enjoyed our stay.
What could be improved: Only minor things. The bed was a bit too soft and sagged a little in the middle. Towels not very absorbant. Could have some more kitchen equipment.Great value for money. – Marcin_uk from United Kingdom – January 26, 2024 (8/10)
It's a very nice, cosy apartment in the heart of Lodz with everything you need for a short stay as well as a long one (like a week or so).
It's facing Wschodnia Street where you can find some parking spaces and 'Zabka' grocery is next door.
It has a balcony, well equipped kitchen, very big wardrobe, very nice and comfy sofa bed, which can be used as a bed for another two people. It's got very nice bathroom with a big, double shower.
What could be improved: I'm not sure what you wouldn't like about such a nice place, but I'm sure that there are picky people out there who will find some downsides.Feel like at home 🙂 – Marcin_uk from United Kingdom – November 2, 2023 (8/10)
Very nice and quite spacious apartment with everything you need for a short term stay, but also very comfortable, if you need to stay for a week or so.
It benefits from a nice balcony facing the street, but there's no big traffic around, so you shouldn't be disturbed.
As per usual in Lodz, there's 'Zabka' grocery shop just around the corner 😉
The apartment is located a stone through from Piotrkowska street, where you can find lots of restaurants, pubs and disco's.
What could be improved: The fact that I couldn't stay longer over there 😉
