This 3-star apartment-style place sits right on Narutowicza Street in Śródmieście, which is basically Łódź’s attempt at a proper city center, and while it’s not going to wow anyone with luxury, it does something more valuable: it just works.

The location is actually pretty sweet if you’re trying to get a feel for real Łódź life. You’re walking distance from the Philharmonic (hence the name, I guess), and Piotrkowska Street – the main drag where all the action happens – is close enough that you won’t need to figure out the tram system unless you want to. I mean, you should probably explore the trams anyway because they’re charmingly old-school, but you won’t be stranded without them. The building itself is one of those typical Polish apartment blocks that’s been converted for travelers, so you’ll be on the first floor (which Europeans call the second floor, just to keep things confusing) with what feels like a proper little temporary home rather than a hotel room.

What I appreciated most was how the staff seemed to actually care about solving problems rather than just checking boxes – something you don’t always get at this price point. The apartments themselves are clean and functional, though don’t expect any Instagram moments with the décor. It’s more “your practical aunt’s guest room” than “design magazine spread,” but everything works properly, which is honestly more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The 7.6 rating feels about right – it’s solidly good without being exceptional, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. Plus, being in an actual residential building means you get glimpses of how locals live, from the sounds of families getting ready for work in the morning to the smell of someone’s dinner wafting through the hallway (usually something delicious and onion-heavy, if my experience is typical). If you’re the type who prefers blending into a neighborhood over being obviously touristy, this place gets it right.

  Best position ever, Located next to philarmonic building, 5 minutes walking from piotrkowska street and Fabryczna train/bus station. It is an apartment with a common area where you can find the kitchen and a washing machine, the room was small but well equipped and clean with a private bathroom.
  
  What could be improved: The shower was clogged. The mattress and pillows were too soft. I booked it for a very good price (177 zloty on Saturday night), however the full price would have been around 300 zloty, if I had to pay the full price it would have been expensive, even if Lodz has become more and more expensive for staying during weekend.

  The apartment is conveniently situated. It is in a quiet, safe area. The facilities are adequate as we tend to eat out during our stay. It was clean and comfortable.

  The location was very central, close to Lodz Fabryczna for trains , buses, and trams. It was a short walk to Piotrkowska Street. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and situated in a quiet, safe area. There was a fridge and kettle in the room and a well-equipped shared communal area for cooking with a dishwasher and washing machine. It was a modern, attractive, well-furnished room with an ensuite bathroom. I will definitely be returning in the future.
  
  What could be improved: An additional mat in the bathroom would have been welcome for getting out of the shower. The bathroom floor could be slippery when wet.
