I’ll be honest, when I first saw the address for Downtown Apt – 42m2, Top Location – by Rentujemy, I had to double-check my booking – Nawrot Street isn’t exactly what you’d picture when someone says “downtown Łódź.” But you know what? That actually turned out to be one of the best things about this place. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Piotrkowska Street (the main pedestrian drag where all the action is), but you’re tucked away just enough to avoid the weekend party noise that can keep you up until 3 AM.

The apartment itself is surprisingly well thought out for 42 square meters – and I mean that in the best way possible. Whoever designed this space actually understands how people travel. There’s a proper work area if you need to catch up on emails, the kitchenette has everything you actually need (not just a sad mini-fridge and a broken coffee maker), and honestly, the bed was way more comfortable than I expected. The whole place feels clean and modern without being sterile, if that makes sense. I stayed here during a particularly gray February week, and somehow the space still felt bright and welcoming – probably something to do with those big windows facing the courtyard. Speaking of which, it’s refreshingly quiet back there, especially compared to some of the places I’ve stayed right on Piotrkowska where trams clatter by every few minutes.

What really won me over was the location intelligence behind this choice. You’re close enough to walk to Manufaktura (that massive shopping and cultural complex) without feeling like a tourist trapped in mall-land, and the Srodmiescie neighborhood has this authentic, lived-in feel that a lot of city center apartments miss. There’s a solid pierogi place about two blocks away that locals actually eat at, and getting to the main train station is straightforward – important if you’re planning day trips or heading to Warsaw. The 9.3 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me at all. This isn’t luxury accommodation, and it doesn’t pretend to be, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re trying to experience a city rather than just pass through it. Plus, the Rentujemy team was refreshingly straightforward about check-in details and didn’t try to upsell me on anything ridiculous.

  What could be improved: З негативного це те, що перед заселенням потрібно пройти додаткову реєстрацію на сайті за посиланням, в якому потрібно проплатити 500 зл. застави (маю надію, що повернуть) без цього не отримаєш паролів до помешкання.
  Ніякого діалогу з власником. Не відповідають на дзвінки чи смс.
  Дуже не зручний розкладний диван у вітальні.
  Телевізія вся платна, є декілька кабельних каналів.
  Одна капсула для пральної машини і одна для пусудомийки (цього мало, якщо ви там живете декілька днів)

  Przestronne mieszkanie, w którym dwie osoby dadzą radę pracować zdalnie. Blisko przystanki komunikacji miejskiej oraz blisko znajdują się liczne restauracje wraz z barami. Cicha i kameralna kamienica. Wszystko co jest potrzebne do krótkiego pobytu znajduje się w mieszkaniu.
