This little gem sits right on Orla Street in Śródmieście, which locals will tell you is basically the heartbeat of the city. You’re literally walking distance from Piotrkowska Street (that’s the main pedestrian drag everyone talks about), but you’re tucked away enough that you won’t hear every drunk tourist stumbling home at 2 AM.

The building itself has that classic Polish charm – you know, the kind where the exterior might not win any beauty contests but the bones are solid. I mean, this is a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble lobbies or anything, but what struck me was how thoughtfully everything was put together inside. The apartments – and they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge – actually feel like someone lives there. The kitchen has real plates, not those flimsy things that scream “rental,” and there’s enough counter space to spread out if you’re the type who picks up groceries at the Żabka downstairs (which, let’s be honest, you probably will because Polish convenience stores are oddly addictive).

What really sold me though was the location intelligence – if that’s even a thing. You’re close enough to walk to the major museums and that gorgeous Manufaktura shopping complex, but you’re also in an actual neighborhood where people live their regular lives. There’s a bakery two blocks over that does these incredible pączki that’ll ruin your diet plans, and the tram connections are actually useful, not just tourist-convenient. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in a Polish city center will appreciate. The whole area has this lived-in energy during the day – people heading to work, kids walking to school, that sort of authentic city rhythm you miss when you’re stuck in hotel districts. And honestly, for the price point and that solid 8 rating from actual guests, it delivers on being a proper base camp for exploring Łódź without feeling like you’re compromising on comfort or convenience.

Hotel in Lodz booking should be done early, especially during film festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cinematography events.

  Mieszkanie w centrum tuż przy Galerii Łodzkiej. Pokój taki jak na zdjęciach, na parterze okna wychodzą na dziedziniec kamienicy. W pokoju ręczniki, mydło, suszarka. Początkowo nie odostałam wiadomości z instrukcją zameldowania, ale po krótkim telefonie sytuacja została szybko naprawiona.

  What could be improved: Pokój w oficynie na parterze od podwórka, a brak zasłonek w oknach poza roletami antywłamaniowymi.
  W łazience bardzo mała umywalka, dodatkowo przez wystającą półkę zupełnie niepraktyczna.
  Słabe ustawienie mebli – mimo dużego pokoju, łóżko stało w kącie, przez co jedna osoba spała od ściany.
  W wyposażeniu kuchni brakowało deski do krojenia, oraz pieprzu czy soli.
  Czystość pokoju powierzchowna.

  What could be improved: Możnaby pomyśleć o zostawianiu chociaż paru torebek herbaty/kawy i cukier. Po podróży to fajna sprawa mieć takie podstawy.
