I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to deLux1 on Rewolucji 1905, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The building has this understated charm that doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the flashier places in Śródmieście, but that actually turned out to be part of its appeal. You know how sometimes the best discoveries are the ones hiding in plain sight? This feels like one of those.

The location is actually pretty smart if you know Łódź at all. You’re right in the heart of things without being stuck in the tourist chaos – I mean, you can walk to Piotrkowska Street in about ten minutes, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with street noise all night. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated; there’s a decent bakery just around the corner where locals actually go for their morning coffee, and you’ll see the same faces walking their dogs in the evenings. It’s the kind of area where you feel like you’re experiencing the real city, not just the postcard version.

What struck me most about staying here was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting the details right. Check-in was smooth – no endless forms or upselling attempts – and they gave me genuinely useful recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots everyone mentions. The rooms themselves are clean and well-maintained without being fancy; honestly, that 3-star rating feels about right, but in the best way possible. Everything works properly (which isn’t always a given), the beds are comfortable enough that I slept well, and there’s sufficient space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi was reliable too, which matters more than people admit when they’re traveling. I stayed during a particularly busy weekend in late spring, and while I could hear some activity in the hallways, it wasn’t the kind of thing that kept me awake – just the normal sounds of a place that’s actually being used. The whole experience felt refreshingly straightforward; no hidden fees, no weird policies, just a solid place to stay while you explore what Łódź has to offer. For the price point and that 8.1 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense.
