I mean, there’s a decent little café literally across the street where locals grab their morning coffee, and honestly, watching the neighborhood wake up from the apartment window with a proper cup in hand beats any hotel lobby scene.

The apartment itself feels like staying at a stylish friend’s place – someone with good taste who actually cares about the details. The space has this modern Polish design thing going on that’s clean without being sterile, if that makes sense. I particularly appreciated that they’ve thought about what people actually need when they’re staying somewhere for a few days. The kitchen setup is proper functional (not just for show), which is perfect when you want to grab some pierogi from the local market and heat them up, or when you need real refrigerator space for more than just minibar stuff. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, and the shower pressure is honestly better than half the four-star places I’ve stayed at in Warsaw.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how quiet it gets at night. Łódź can be surprisingly lively, especially around the main drag, but Roosevelta Street settles down nicely after evening hours. You’ll hear the occasional tram rumbling by – which I actually found sort of comforting – but no late-night street noise or party crowds. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward key-passing dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The whole experience just feels… well, uncomplicated.

Look, this isn’t luxury accommodation, and it’s not trying to be. It’s a solid, thoughtfully-designed place to stay while you explore one of Poland’s most underrated cities. The 8.8 rating makes perfect sense to me – it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. If you’re the type of traveler who’d rather spend your money on experiencing the city instead of fancy hotel amenities you won’t use anyway, this is definitely worth considering. Plus, being in a real neighborhood instead of a tourist bubble means you’ll probably discover those little local spots that make a trip memorable.
