You know what surprised me most about CIty Host Lutomierska? It’s one of those places that punches way above its weight class. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star hotel, but honestly – and I’ve stayed at plenty of overpriced places that barely earned their stars – this spot on Lutomierska 50 gets the fundamentals so right that you’ll wonder why you ever bothered with fancier chains.

The location in Baluty is actually pretty clever if you know Łódź at all. It’s not right in the tourist center, which means you’re not paying premium prices for cobblestone views, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters. The tram connections are solid (there’s a stop maybe a 5-minute walk away), and I love that you can grab groceries or a proper meal without having to venture into the more touristy areas where everything costs twice as much. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – you’ll hear Polish conversations drifting from apartment windows, see locals walking their dogs in the early morning, that sort of authentic daily life you miss when you’re stuck in hotel district bubbles. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Polish cities will tell you is no small miracle.

What really won me over was the attention to detail that you just don’t expect. The rooms are clean in that specifically Polish way – I mean spotless, like someone’s grandmother inspected every corner. The beds are actually comfortable (not those rock-hard mattresses some European hotels seem to think build character), and the Wi-Fi works properly throughout the building, even in the elevator. The staff seems genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions, and their English is good enough that you won’t be playing charades to ask for extra towels. I stayed there during one of those gray November weeks when Łódź can feel pretty gloomy, but the hotel had this warm, welcoming atmosphere that made coming back each evening something to look forward to rather than just a place to crash. The breakfast – well, it’s not going to change your life, but it’s hearty Polish fare with decent coffee and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying multiple nights. That 8.9 rating it’s got? Yeah, I can see why. It’s the kind of place that makes you think maybe all those expensive hotels have been doing it wrong this whole time.

  Dzień dobry,lokal i kontakt z właścicielem ok. To na tyle-niestety jest trochę do poprawy.
  
  What could be improved: Ważne jest aby klient był zadowolony. Początkowa reakcja na plus,ale w dalszym rozananiu na minus. Brak podstawowych rzeczy (herbata, kawa,cukier,przyprawy,itp).Takie zestawy w apartamentach to już normalność. Garnki,sztućce też mają swoją datę przydatność (proszę o tym pamiętać).Parkowanie niestety w pobliskich uliczkach lub parking Manufaktura. Jest pralka,brak suszarki balkonowej. Proszę też od czasu do czasu umyć piekarnik, bo dla nowego (następnego) klienta jest to b. ważne.

  Mieszkanie ładnie urządzone w nowym budownictwie, bardzo dobra lokalizacja, blisko manufaktury.
  
  What could be improved: Niestety podłogi chyba już dawno nie były myte (po godzinie chodzenia, białe skarpetki były bardzo brudne) i co najgorsze: nieświeża pościel po poprzednich klientach! Coś niebywałego. Gdy odkryłam koc na prześcieradle było pełno włosów!
