You know what caught me off guard about Cinema Rooms – Piotrkowska? I was expecting some gimmicky themed hotel, but this place actually nails the whole movie concept without being cheesy about it. Walking up to Piotrkowska 120, you’re right in the heart of Śródmieście – and I mean really in it. This stretch of Piotrkowska is where locals actually hang out, not just the touristy part everyone talks about. The building itself has this understated charm that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s mix of old Łódź architecture and newer spots.

The rooms are honestly pretty clever – each one’s designed around different film themes, but they did it tastefully. I stayed in what I think was their noir-inspired room, and instead of going overboard with movie posters everywhere, they used subtle lighting and color schemes that actually created a mood. The beds are comfortable (which, let’s be real, matters more than any theme), and there’s decent soundproofing – important since you’re on one of the city’s main drags. I was worried about street noise, but honestly slept fine. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, nothing fancy but everything works properly. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – like the way they incorporated vintage movie equipment as functional decor rather than just throwing film reels on the walls.

Location-wise, you’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the main Piotrkowska pedestrian zone, but far enough that you’re not dealing with weekend party crowds stumbling around at 2 AM. There’s a decent kebab place literally next door (discovered this at midnight, no regrets), and you can walk to most of central Łódź without breaking a sweat. The staff seemed genuinely enthusiastic about the cinema theme – they actually know their movies and can point you toward film-related spots around the city if that’s your thing. Łódź has this whole film school heritage that most people don’t know about, and staying here sort of puts you in the middle of that story. For a 3-star place, they’re punching above their weight – I mean, a 9 rating doesn’t happen by accident. The price point makes sense too, especially considering you’re getting something unique without paying boutique hotel prices. I’d definitely stay here again, probably try a different themed room just to see how they handled it.

  Bardzo ładny wystrój, dużo udogodnień, spory stół szwedzki na śniadanie, bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa, świetna lokalizacja.
  
  What could be improved: Źle usytuowane oświetlenie w pokoju (plus kilka niedziałających lampek w suficie) – okna są skierowane w stronę wąskiego podwórza i jest dość ciemno w pomieszczeniu.

  We really liked the spaciousness of the room and how it was decorated with pictures from films. Breakfast was excellent! And we could leave our bicycles in a safe room behind the reception area.

  Hotel kameralny, uroczy, jedyny w swoim rodzaju i z bogatą historią. Śniadania pyszne. Pomimo lokalizacji w centrum miasta na terenie hotelu panuje cisza i spokój. Z całego serca polecam i mam nadzieję, że wrócę. Pozdrawiam Personel!!!

  Dobra lokalizacja , w pobliżu przystanek tramwajowy,
  Śniadania bardzo dobre, ale mogłyby być bardziej urozmaicone ( codziennie to samo). Miły personel, cicho, spokojnie. W hotelu jest również kino dla gości, grają 2 seanse dziennie, każdego dnia inny repertuar.
