It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Śródmieście, but you’re actually just a few minutes’ walk from all the main action. I mean, you wouldn’t expect it from the address, but Piotrkowska Street – basically Łódź’s beating heart – is practically around the corner.

The building itself has this interesting mix going on – it’s clearly been updated recently but keeps some of that classic Polish architecture charm. Check-in was surprisingly smooth (I was honestly expecting more of a language barrier, but the staff spoke solid English), and they actually remembered I’d mentioned needing an early breakfast the next day. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place – clean, functional, decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes. The beds are honestly pretty comfortable, though the pillows are a bit on the firm side if that matters to you. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re in the city center but on a side street, so you don’t get the tram noise that can keep you up in some of the hotels closer to the main thoroughfares.

Here’s the thing about this neighborhood that I wish more people knew – you’re walking distance from the OFF Piotrkowska complex, which has some genuinely good restaurants and that cool cultural center vibe going on. Plus, if you’re into the whole industrial heritage thing that Łódź does so well, you can easily walk to some of the old factory buildings that have been converted into galleries and shops. The hotel doesn’t have parking directly on-site, but there’s street parking that’s not too brutal to figure out, and honestly, you don’t really need a car once you’re settled in this area anyway. I grabbed breakfast a couple times at this little café about two blocks away – way better than typical hotel breakfast, and the locals clearly hang out there, which is always a good sign. The 7.8 rating feels about right to me; it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but it does what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re looking for something centrally located without paying those premium rates you get right on Piotrkowska itself, this place makes a lot of sense.

  Fajna lokalizacja, super uprzejmy właściciel, ktory interesował się czy niczego nam nie brakuje i pozwolił nam się wymeldować odrobinę później. Jak na liczbę osób w obiekcie (pełne obłożenie) – było czysto cały czas.

  What could be improved: Akurat trafiliśmy na nocowanie z młodymi w pokojach obok i niestety ale zalali całą łazienkę, nawet tego nie sprzątając, więc troszkę niekomfortowo. Być może z innymi współlokatorami ocena byłaby wyższa.

  What could be improved: klatka schodowa jest naprawdę straszna, osobiście sama bym na nią nie weszła wieczorem. dodatkowym minusem było to, ze w pokoju był termostat, który był ZABLOKOWANY i w nocy zrobiło się 17'C, więc zmarzłyśmy.

  Mieszkanie jest ładne, widać, że świeżo wyremontowane, w środku mieszkania są dwie łazienki – nigdy nie było kolejki, w kuchni jest bardzo czysto i są potrzebne sprzęty, goście otrzymują ręczniki, w pokoju była suszarka, czajnik, herbata i kawa. Sklep Żabka w odległości 2 minut od budynku. Właściciel bardzo pomocny, kontaktowy. Pobranie kluczy bezproblemowe i bezkontaktowe. Z mieszkania jest bardzo blisko do centrum (5 min pieszo do Piotrkowskiej). Za taką cenę jest to bardzo dobry wybór na krótki pobyt.

  What could be improved: A lot of dust under the bed, toilet paper missing in the morning on the second day, bathroom ok, but could be cleaner. Location in the city center is a plus, but the building is very old and for some people could be a little terrifying (not for me as I lived in Łódź so I know its particular atmosphere, but for my boyfriend from abroad it was quite shocking)
