The thing is, Łódź doesn’t get nearly enough credit as a destination, but this little three-star hotel sits right in the sweet spot of Śródmieście where you can actually feel the pulse of the place. You know how some hotels feel like they could be anywhere? This isn’t one of those – you’re properly in Łódź here, with all the good and quirky that comes with it.

The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Polish architecture thing going on, and when you walk in, it’s clean and functional without trying too hard to impress anyone. I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or fancy art installations, but the staff actually knows what they’re doing and check-in is refreshingly straightforward. The rooms are what I’d call smartly sized – not huge, but they’ve used the space well enough that you don’t feel cramped. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t be wrestling with ancient plumbing at 6 AM. What I really appreciate is that the windows open properly, which sounds silly until you’ve been stuck in some sealed hotel box breathing recycled air all night.

Location-wise, you’re right where you want to be if you’re planning to explore beyond the obvious tourist spots. Piotrkowska Street is close enough for evening wandering, but you’re not dealing with the weekend noise that comes with being right on top of it. I’ve walked to most of the places I needed to get to – the OFF Piotrkowska complex is maybe fifteen minutes on foot, and if you’re into the whole post-industrial vibe that Łódź does so well, you’re perfectly positioned. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to city center Poland), but they’ll help you figure it out, and honestly, once you’re settled, you probably won’t need your car much anyway. The area has that lived-in feeling where locals are actually going about their business – there’s a decent café about two blocks down where I’ve never seen another tourist, and the kind of neighborhood bakery that makes you understand why people love this city once they give it a proper chance. At 8.5 out of 10, it’s punching above its three-star weight class, probably because they’re focused on doing the basics really well rather than adding flashy extras that don’t matter.

  Bardzo udany pobyt!
  Zatrzymaliśmy się na kilka dni i jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni. Pokój był czysty, przestronny i dobrze wyposażony – wszystko zgodne z opisem. Gospodarz miły i pomocny, zameldowanie szybkie i bezproblemowe. Na pewno wrócimy! Serdecznie polecam!

  Darmowe jednorazowe szczoteczki z mini pastą do zębów, bezobsługowa możliwość zameldowania się, mini deska do prasowania, suszarka, żelazko i dodatkowa pościel w szafie
  
  What could be improved: Wąska przerwa pomiędzy kanapą a wejściem na antresolę, pościel zapewne suszona w automatycznej suszarce bez prasowania (przez to wyglądała na używaną przez poprzednich gości i zapewne brak kulek zapachowych do prania, bo momentami miałam wrażenie z koleżanką, że pościel pachnie potem i nie została wymieniona), można byłoby wymieniać żarówkę na antresoli na taką z mniejszą mocą, aby wieczorem bądź w nocy nie rozbudzać się intensywnym światłem 😉
