You know what struck me first about Central Park by LookAp? The name is honestly a bit misleading – I mean, there’s no actual park right there, but once you settle in, you realize it doesn’t matter. This 3-star spot on Gdańska street has this understated charm that grows on you, especially if you’re the type who prefers character over corporate polish.

The location is actually pretty smart when you think about it. Gdańska 141a puts you in this interesting pocket of Łódź where you’re not drowning in tourist chaos, but you’re still connected to everything that matters. I walked to the main shopping areas in about fifteen minutes – not bad at all – and there’s this little café around the corner that the front desk guy told me about (locals actually drink coffee there, which is always a good sign). The building itself has that Eastern European functionality mixed with some modern touches that work better than they should. My room was clean and surprisingly quiet for a street-facing spot, though I did notice the Wi-Fi got a bit sluggish during evening hours when everyone was presumably streaming.

What I appreciated most was the staff’s approach – they’re helpful without being overly eager, if that makes sense. Check-in was smooth, and when I asked about getting around the city, the reception woman actually drew on my map instead of just handing me a generic brochure. The breakfast situation is solid without being fancy – fresh bread, decent coffee, and they had these local pastries that I ended up looking forward to each morning. Honestly, for the price point and that 8.1 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s the kind of place where you sleep well, feel comfortable, and don’t spend your whole trip thinking about the hotel. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially in a city like Łódź where the real attractions are out there waiting for you, not in your room.

  Apartament zlokalizowany blisko centrum, wygodnie urządzony. Idealna lokalizacja- 20 minut od dworca Łódź Kaliska spacerem przez park, 10 minut od ul. Piotrkowskiej. Czyste ręczniki i pościel. Kuchnia dobrze wyposażona. W łazience podstawowe kosmetyki, pralka i suszarka do włosów. Bardzo miły i elastyczny właściciel- możliwość wcześniejszego zameldowania oraz późniejszego wymeldowania.

  Blisko do centrum. W mieszkaniu jest wszystko czego potrzeba.
  
  What could be improved: Minusem jest hałas za oknem, dość głośno od ruchliwej ulicy. Niektórym może to przeszkadzać. Dla nas minusem był telewizor w sypialni. Jeśli jedna osoba chciałaby spać a druga coś obejrzeć, to jest problem.

  Apartment was very nice, new, modern, clean and had everything what we needed. Beds were very comfortable so we had wonderful sleep. Communication was very good and host was helpful when we needed some assistance.

  The apartment is centrally located and one stop from well know Piotrkowska street and central tram station for trams to Manufaktura mall and other parts to city of Lodz. The staff were very quick to respond and when I requested a fan – it was in apartment upon arrival. Requested a noon check out and they were very accommodating with that as well. Instructions to enter building and how to open key lock box was very easy to understand. As a plus, if you like running and walking there's a very nice park across the street as well. Will definitely stay at this apartment if and when it's available again.
