What really won me over was how the place just works without trying too hard. The rooms have this clean, minimalist vibe that feels intentional rather than budget-bare, if that makes sense. Good WiFi, decent shower pressure, and – this might sound silly – but the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get stuck with. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. I stayed there during shoulder season in late spring, and while I can’t speak to how crazy it gets during summer festivals, the whole building had this calm, residential feel that made it easy to decompress. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it nails what it is: a solid, well-located base for exploring Łódź without breaking the bank. Honestly, I’d stay there again, especially if I wanted to spend more time wandering the city’s incredible street art scene or diving into those converted factory spaces that make Łódź so unique.
