You’re right in Śródmieście, which means you can walk to most of the interesting stuff without dealing with public transport (though the trams here are decent, I have to say). Piotrkowska Street – you know, that famous pedestrian stretch everyone talks about – is maybe a ten-minute walk away. I found myself wandering over there for dinner most nights because, well, that’s where the action is. The building itself sits on a relatively quiet stretch of Wólczańska, so you’re not getting hit with street noise all night, which I definitely appreciated.

What struck me most about this place is how it feels more like staying in someone’s well-appointed spare room than a typical hotel. The apartment setup means you’ve got actual space to spread out – there’s a proper sitting area where you can actually relax with a book or plan your next day without feeling cramped. The kitchen situation is legit too; I mean, I’m not talking about cooking elaborate meals here, but you can definitely handle breakfast and maybe throw together a simple dinner if you’re trying to save some złoty. Speaking of which, the nearby Biedronka (that’s the local grocery chain – you’ll see them everywhere) is just a short walk away, which comes in handy.

The whole vibe is pretty laid-back, and the 8.2 rating makes sense to me. It’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s solid and comfortable in that unpretentious way. I actually liked that it didn’t try too hard – you know what I mean? No fancy lobby or overeager concierge, just clean, functional space that works. The check-in process was straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming the details beforehand since it’s more of a self-service situation than your typical hotel front desk experience.

One thing worth mentioning – Łódź itself is still sort of flying under the radar compared to Kraków or Warsaw, which honestly works in your favor. You’re getting a real Polish city experience without the tourist markup or crowds. The area around Wólczańska has this interesting mix of old tenement buildings and newer developments, and you’ll find some genuinely good restaurants within walking distance that locals actually frequent. There’s this little place serving pierogi that I stumbled across on Piotrkowska that was absolutely worth the discovery – but I’m getting off track here.

Bottom line: if you’re looking for somewhere comfortable and reasonably priced to base yourself while exploring Łódź, BOOGIE Home Papillon 16 does the job well. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’ll give you a good night’s sleep and enough space to feel human, which is really all you need sometimes.

  W sobotę rano od 7.00 dziecko płaczące przez 3h!! Na prośbę o intetwncje dowiedziałam się od administracja że nikt inny poza mną się nie skarży:(Gratuluje podejścia do klienta.

  The apartment was very stylish and beautiful, with an ideal location. It was clean inside, and we were pleasantly surprised by a small welcome gift, some candy. There were a few minor issues, like the shampoo running out in the shower and a lack of forks and spoons, but overall, these didn’t take away from our positive experience.

  Na nocleg zdecydowałem się w ostatniej chwili, zmuszony okolicznościami w pracy i nie zawiodłem się!
  Na PLUS bardzo to, że można się zameldować o każdej porze, wystarczy wpisać kody dostępu podane przez właściciela. Na PLUS fajne, stylowe umeblowanie apartamentu. Na PLUS kontakt z właścicielem 🙂

  What could be improved: Niestety mieszkanie było bardzo brudne – prysznic i kuchnia były pokryte tłuszczem, a kubki i talerzyki również były brudne. W mieszkaniu unosił się bardzo nieprzyjemny zapach, mimo że okno było otwarte do wietrzenia. Dodatkowo, nie było suszarki do włosów. Skontaktowałam się z właścicielem i musiałam iść do innego apartamentu, aby ją odebrać. Na zdjęciach apartament wygląda na czysty i wyremontowany, ale w rzeczywistości wszystko się rozpada i jest w złym stanie technicznym.
