I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to BOOGIE Home Papillon 15 on Wólczańska Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard apartment building in Śródmieście. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you, and this little gem absolutely did that.

The location is actually pretty brilliant if you know Łódź at all. Wólczańska runs right through the heart of the city center, so you’re basically a short walk from everything that matters – Piotrkowska Street with all its bars and restaurants is maybe ten minutes on foot, and honestly, that’s where you’ll probably spend most of your evenings anyway. What I really loved though was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you’re in the middle of everything during the day, but come evening it’s surprisingly peaceful. The building itself has this old Polish charm – not fancy, just authentic – and the apartment (it’s on the ground floor, which saved my back from hauling luggage up stairs) feels way more spacious than most hotel rooms you’ll find for the price.

The whole setup is sort of like staying at a friend’s place, if your friend happened to have really good taste in furnishings and actually cared about having decent WiFi. Everything’s clean and modern inside, but not in that sterile way that makes you afraid to touch anything. I spent a good chunk of time just hanging out in the living area – there’s something to be said for having actual space to spread out after walking around the city all day. The kitchen’s fully equipped too, which came in handy since Polish grocery stores have some amazing stuff you won’t find anywhere else (try the oscypek cheese, trust me on this). Parking was easier than I expected for this part of town, though I’d still recommend asking about it when you book if you’re driving. The check-in process was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby wondering if they lost your reservation. Actually, the whole experience felt refreshingly personal compared to those big chain hotels where you’re just another room number. With an 8.9 rating, I can see why people keep coming back here. It’s one of those places that just works – comfortable, well-located, and priced right for what you get. Plus, staying here puts you in a real neighborhood instead of some tourist bubble, which is honestly half the fun of visiting a city like Łódź anyway.

  Blisko do miejsc które mieliśmy odwiedzenia, czystko w mieszkaniu, dostępne wszystkie najpotrzebniejsze rzeczy.
  
  What could be improved: Ciężko otwierające się drzwi w łazience ( dla dziecka praktycznie nie do otworzenia), brak wentylacji w łazience, błędna informacja odnośnie godzin płacenia za parking ( na kartce informacyjnej jest informacja że parking płatny jest od 8 w rzeczywistości jest od 7)

  Mooi ingericht. Netjes en schoon. Goede locatie, op loopafstand van centrum en Manufaktura. Veilige plek in appartement complex. Parkeren in de straat was goed te doen en niet duur.

  Fajne mieszkanko, znakomita lokalizacja, przepiękna kamienica! Bardzo małe, więc raczej dla pary niż rodziny(chociaż zmieściliśmy się jakoś z 4 dzieci 😉 ) , ale przy tym urzadzone bardzo funkcjonalnie i stylowo. Polecam!

  Butas labai nedidelis, tačiau jame yra viskas ko reikia trumpai viešnagei. Buvome su vaikais, tad nakvynė aukštai ir privatus kampelis labai patiko, nenorėjo išvažiuoti. Vieta taip pat labai gera, viskas arti, netriukšminga.

  Mieszkanko znajduje się w przepięknej "motylkowej" kamienicy – to miejsce robi naprawdę duże wrażenie. Okolica zadbana, estetyczna, w nocy podświetlony dziedziniec.
