Tucked away on Wodna Street in what locals call the Śródmieście district, you’re basically in the heart of Łódź without dealing with the tourist chaos that plagues other Polish cities. The building itself has that classic Polish charm – you’ll take an elevator up to the fifth floor (don’t worry, it works fine, though it’s one of those older European lifts that makes you appreciate modern engineering).

The apartment itself feels like someone who actually travels designed it, not some corporate committee. There’s this eclectic mix of vintage Polish furniture and modern touches that somehow works perfectly together. Honestly, the kitchen surprised me most – it’s actually functional, with decent cookware and a proper refrigerator, which is refreshing after staying in places where you can barely boil water. The bathroom’s compact but thoughtfully laid out, and here’s something I appreciated: really good water pressure, which isn’t always a given in older buildings around this area. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re working remotely or just trying to figure out where to grab dinner.

What I love about this location is that you’re walking distance from Piotrkowska Street – that’s the main pedestrian drag where all the action happens – but Wodna Street itself is quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep through the night. I mean, you might hear some occasional street noise during the day, but nothing that’ll drive you crazy. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that a lot of hotel districts lack; there’s a small grocery store literally around the corner, and you’ll find some genuinely good pierogi places within a five-minute walk. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – street spots fill up quickly, but there’s a paid lot about two blocks away that’s reasonable. The check-in process was smoother than I expected for an apartment-style place; they sent clear instructions beforehand, and the key pickup was straightforward. At this price point and with ratings pushing 9.0, it’s honestly one of those finds that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something before everyone else catches on. Perfect for couples or solo travelers who want something with character instead of another cookie-cutter hotel room.

  Dobra lokalizacja, mieszkanie w nowym bloku, teren zamykany, poczucie bezpieczeństwa. Można się było poczęstować kawą i herbatą po przyjeździe. Dostępne sprzęty AGD – zmywarka, piekarnik, MW, pralka.
  
  What could be improved: Zamek w drzwiach wejściowych się przycinał, trzeba było kilka razy próbować otworzyć. Włącznik światła w salonie był zepsuty – nie dało się zapalić lampy, a pulsował niebieskim światłem w nocy, co przeszkadzało w zasypianiu. Zmywarka pokryta pleśnią w środku, okruchy w lodówce. Drzwi od łazienki ciężko domknąć (ocierały o próg). Brak odpowiedzi gospodarza w sprawie możliwości wynajmu miejsca parkingowego.

  Ładny, czysty apartament z balkonem, wygodne łóżko w sypialni. Mimo, że tylko jeden dzień, bo docelowo przyjechaliśmy na mój bieg Rossmann Run. Ale pobyt uważam za udany. Fajnie, że jest piekarnik, oczywiście skorzystaliśmy z tej opcji. Zmywarka to też teraz must have.
  
  What could be improved: Takie drobiazgi ale jednak potrzebne jak rękawica do piekarnika czy zmywak mogłyby być dostępne, a nie było. Drzwi w łazience ciężko się otwierały, to też do poprawy. Tak poza tym wszystko ok.
