You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I climbed up to the third floor of this building on Piotrkowska, but Art Deco Retreat – Łódź Centrum completely surprised me. I mean, the entrance is a bit understated – you’d honestly walk right past it if you weren’t looking for that specific address at 222. But once you’re inside, it’s like stepping into this perfectly curated time capsule that actually works for modern travelers.

The Art Deco theme isn’t just slapped on as an afterthought, which you see way too often in themed hotels. They’ve really committed to it – from the geometric patterns on the textiles to these gorgeous brass fixtures that catch the afternoon light streaming through the windows. What I loved most was how quiet it stays despite being right on Piotrkowska Street. You’re literally in the heart of everything (I could see people heading to Manufaktura from my window), but the building’s construction keeps most of the street noise out. The rooms have this warm, amber lighting that makes everything feel cozy, especially during those gray Polish winter afternoons.

Honestly, the location is what seals the deal for me. You’re a two-minute walk from some of the best restaurants in Śródmieście, and if you’re into the whole industrial heritage thing that Łódź does so well, you can easily walk to the main attractions. I particularly appreciated being able to grab morning coffee from that little place just down the street – you know, the one with the hand-painted sign that’s always packed with locals. The staff here actually knows the neighborhood, too, which makes a difference. They pointed me toward this fantastic pierogi spot that wasn’t in any of my guidebooks, and when I needed to find a pharmacy late one evening, they knew exactly which one stays open longest. It’s those small details that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere that genuinely cares about your experience rather than just processing tourists through the door.

  Ļoti laba komunikācija ar saimnieku. Visu sīki izstāstīja. Viss tīrs un smaržīgs. Pat kafijas automāts ar kapsulām pieejams lietošanai. Uzturējāmies divas ģimenes ar bērniem vienu nakti.

  Apartament jest przepiękny i aż szkoda z niego wychodzić 🙂 Jest doskonale wyposażony w sprzęty kuchenne (w tym ekspres i kapsułki do kawy, duży wybór herbatek), deskę od prasowania i żelazko, wszelkie sprzęty do utrzymywania porządku. Zaprojektowany praktycznie i funkcjonalnie. Duży stół sprzyja biesiadowaniu wieczorami. Ciekawy widok z okna.
  
  Miejsce parkingowe bezpieczne (za dwoma bramami), instrukcje czytelne i przyjaźnie napisane.
  
  Świetny dojazd do atrakcji – wystarczy podejść kilka minut do przystanku tramwajowego.
  
  Jest też winda, choć malutka.

  W mieszkaniu można się poczuć jak u siebie, można w nim znaleźć dużo praktycznych rzeczy, począwszy od parasoli, po kapsułki do ekspresu po kabel USB do ładowania. Jest w nim przede wszystkim pachnąco i czysto. A i lokalizacja także super i bezpłatny parking. Na prawdę polecam bo warto!
