Arche Hotel Tobaco Łódź Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Arche Hotel Tobaco Łódź on Kopernika Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard three-star place. But you know what? Sometimes those assumptions are completely wrong, and this turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you actually excited to recommend a spot to people.
The thing about this hotel is that it sits in this really interesting part of Łódź where you’ve got the energy of the city center without all the tourist chaos. Kopernika is one of those streets where you’ll see locals heading to work in the morning, and there’s something refreshing about that – you’re staying where real life happens, not in some sanitized hotel district. The building itself has this understated charm that grows on you, and honestly, the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, which always tells you something about a place. Check-in was smooth (no weird hidden fees or surprise “we’re actually overbooked” drama), and they actually knew the neighborhood well enough to give solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps.
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to create spaces that feel thoughtful without trying too hard. The rooms aren’t huge – this is a three-star property after all – but they’re well-designed in that European way where every inch serves a purpose. Good lighting for actually reading, decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that open if you want fresh air instead of just recycled AC. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that “slept on a board” feeling you sometimes get. I mean, the soundproofing is pretty solid too, which matters because Łódź can get lively at night, and you don’t want street noise ruining your sleep. Parking was straightforward – no circling the block for twenty minutes hoping to find a spot. The breakfast was better than I expected, actually featuring local stuff alongside the standard hotel fare, and they seemed to understand that coffee quality matters to people who are trying to start their day properly. What strikes me most is that this place has earned its 8.8 rating honestly – it’s not flashy or trying to be something it’s not, but it delivers on the basics really well and adds those small touches that make you feel like they actually care about your experience rather than just processing you through their system.
Hotels near me in Lodz offer convenient access to the city center, where guests can easily walk to Piotrkowska Street, Manufaktura complex, and vibrant cultural venues.

Exceptional – Olga from Poland – July 18, 2025 (10/10)
The most convenient was the location near Atlas arena, concerts venue. Just 10 minutes walk from the hotel. If you are traveling for any event there, location is great!
Very Good – Krzysztof from Poland – July 14, 2025 (8/10)
Friendly staff, clean, great sauna, perfect location for Audioriver (music festival on Błonia Łódzkie), but also close enough to Piotrkowska.
What could be improved: Terrible touch buttons in the elevators that did not work or took quite a while to register. A bit on the pricier side, but looks like that was driven up by the music festival.Wonderful – Sarah from United Kingdom – June 15, 2025 (9/10)
Comfortable rooms with large beds and big windows overlooking the courtyard. Water cooler in the corridor for chilled water. Helpful friendly staff. Great variety and quantity of food at breakfast, which changed from day to day. Close to Kaliska station.
What could be improved: A bit of a walk to main tourist areas. Shower pressure weak and grout dirty. Very few sockets and bedside light only on one side.It was a perfect location to the Atlas Arena where we had a concert to attend. – Lilianna from United States – May 28, 2025 (9/10)
The hotel was very clean but could have used extra pillows. Breakfast was much beyond expectations, just fabulous; the options to choose from and freshness were remarkable. The staff was very accommodating to the point that one of the desk clerks ran out to let us know that the bus we had asked about would arrive in 2 min. It was really nice of her to check the schedule and let us know about it.
What could be improved: Just could have used an extra pillow and towel. My to-go recommendation. – Andrzej from Poland – May 22, 2025 (9/10)

I was studying for a test during my stay, and asked for a quiet room, the staff was super nice, and gave me a free room upgrade. The bed was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Lots of choices for breakfast. Highly recommend.
