I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to ApartHouse Center on Legionów Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 3-star place in Łódź’s city center. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots surprise you the most. The building itself is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy, but there’s something refreshingly honest about it that immediately put me at ease.

The location is actually brilliant if you want to really experience Łódź rather than just pass through it. You’re literally in Śródmieście, which means you can walk to Piotrkowska Street (the main pedestrian drag) in about ten minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that. What I love is that you’re close enough to everything but not stuck in the tourist chaos. The neighborhood has this authentic Polish city vibe, with locals heading to work in the morning and families doing their shopping. There’s a small grocery store practically next door, which saved me multiple times when I needed snacks or forgot to pack something essential. The tram connections are solid too – I mean, you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without much hassle.

Inside, it’s clear they’ve put thought into making the apartments actually livable rather than just photogenic. The kitchenette in my unit was small but functional – I managed to make coffee and heat up some pierogi from the market without any drama. The Wi-Fi worked well (always my first test), and honestly, the whole place just felt… practical. Clean, quiet enough despite being in the city center, and the kind of space where you can actually spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I noticed they keep things pretty well-maintained too – no weird stains or broken fixtures that you sometimes find in budget places. The check-in was straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times beforehand since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. What really won me over was the value – getting apartment-style accommodation with that 8.6 rating in this part of Łódź for the price point feels like finding a hidden gem. It’s not luxury, but it doesn’t pretend to be, and sometimes that honesty is exactly what you need when you’re exploring a city like Łódź that rewards genuine curiosity over flashy expectations.

  Design is amazing, looks same as in photos or even better.

  Despite Lodz is probably the ugliest city in Poland – view from balcony is nice.
  Could stay in that apartment longer or even live there.
  
  What could be improved: Lack of cleanliness – stinky towels, not the cleanest floor, dirty dishes.
  Windows didn't block noise from the street, but it didn't bothered me.

  What could be improved: Around the building to much unsocial people. To leave the car outside was a bit scarry. The owner did not let park the car inside the close garden. A bit strange, that the owner required a photo of ID my card before send an instruction how to get in.

  The apartment was great – perfect for a family with two small kids for a short stay (2-3 days). And it is located ~500m from Manufaktura.
