But after staying there twice now (once for work, once with my partner), I get why it’s pulling a 9.7 rating. The location alone is pretty brilliant – you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Manufaktura, which if you don’t know Łódź, is basically the heart of everything happening in the city. I mean, it used to be this massive textile factory complex, and now it’s this incredible shopping and cultural center with restaurants, cinema, and actually some really decent nightlife.

What struck me most about the place is how they’ve managed to make these apartments feel like, well, actual homes rather than sterile hotel rooms. The kitchens are properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and a sad little coffee maker, but real cooking space if you want to grab groceries from the market nearby. The bathrooms are surprisingly spacious too, which honestly matters more than people admit when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two. You know what really sold me though? The soundproofing. Drewnowska can get a bit busy during the day, but inside these apartments, it’s genuinely quiet. I’m someone who usually travels with earplugs, but I didn’t need them here.

The Baluty district itself is sort of having this renaissance moment – it’s got that authentic Polish neighborhood feel without being touristy, but you’re still close enough to walk to the main attractions. There’s this little café called Kawiarnia Literacka about ten minutes away that locals actually go to (not just tourists), and the tram connections from this area are fantastic if you want to explore other parts of Łódź. Parking was easier than I expected too, which anyone who’s driven in Polish city centers will appreciate. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be luxury, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully designed. Check-in was smooth both times, and the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood when I asked for restaurant recommendations. If you’re planning to stay in Łódź for more than just a quick stopover, especially if you want that independence of having your own space while still being centrally located, this place makes a lot of sense.

Early hotels booking in Lodz requires advance planning during peak festival seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned film culture and revitalized districts.

  Right across Manufaktura, a nice open meadow next door for routine dog walks, modern gated community, well preserved aesthetics of a factory. We had two apartments and both were sparkling clean, well equipped, decorated to a good taste. We had a good time and would certainly book again. Communication with Piotr was clear and simple.
