The building has that solid, no-nonsense Polish architecture feel, and while it’s not fancy (this is a 3-star place after all), everything works and feels clean. I particularly appreciated having a proper fridge and cooking facilities, especially since there’s a decent grocery store about a five-minute walk away. The neighborhood itself is really walkable – you know how some areas feel sketchy after dark? This doesn’t. Baluty has been going through this gradual transformation, and while it’s not the most polished part of Łódź, it’s got character and feels safe.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, so factor that in. Also, while the 7.7 rating might seem modest, it actually reflects the reality pretty well – this isn’t luxury, but it’s solid value for money. The real charm is the location advantage. You can walk to Manufaktura in literally three minutes when you need that big shopping center experience, but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore the grittier, more authentic parts of Łódź that most tourists miss. I found myself wandering down to Piotrkowska Street (about a 15-minute walk) way more often than hitting the mall. The tram connections from this area are actually pretty good too – you can get to the main train station or other parts of the city without much hassle. One thing that surprised me was how quiet the apartments were considering the urban location. I’d expected more street noise, but the windows do their job well. If you’re someone who needs everything to be picture-perfect and Instagram-ready, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a genuine base for exploring Łódź without paying premium prices for unnecessary frills, it’s honestly hard to beat.

  What could be improved: She lied to us, she promise she would change the room and she didn't, but she said she did. Crazy. We have to talk to booking to deal with the problem and booking was great about it. Also very very unconfortable beds

  WiFi internet was really bad couldn’t watch anything except for the first day.
  Bins were not emptied before arriving – Mouldy bread in kitchen & wipes and tissues in the bathroom bin.
  Not enough kitchenware – mugs broken, dirty dish cloths, fridge dirty.

  The Lady who gave us the keys was really kind! The apartment was very spacious (3 rooms on the 1st floor).
  
  What could be improved: It is a very old building. Compared to Italy and Denmark visited this year, 56 eur per night for 2 adults with toddlers is not that worth 🤷‍♀️
