You know what? I almost walked past Apartament TRAM the first time I visited – it sits quietly on Tramwajowa Street in Śródmieście, and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This isn’t some flashy hotel trying to grab your attention from three blocks away. It’s more like staying at a friend’s really well-appointed apartment, assuming your friend has excellent taste and actually cares about your comfort.

The location is pretty brilliant, actually. Śródmieście is Łódź’s central district, which means you’re walking distance to most of the stuff you’d want to see – Piotrkowska Street with all its cafes and bars is close enough that you’ll find yourself wandering over for evening drinks without really planning to. The tram connections (fitting, given the hotel’s name and street address) make getting around the city ridiculously easy. I mean, Łódź’s tram system is extensive, and you’re literally on a street named after trams – the universe is telling you something. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in feel where locals actually go about their daily business, not some sanitized tourist bubble.

What really got me about this place was the attention to detail. The apartments – and they really do feel like apartments, not hotel rooms – have this modern comfort that doesn’t feel sterile. Everything works the way it should, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case. The kitchenettes are actually functional if you want to grab groceries from one of the nearby shops and make breakfast, though honestly, with Łódź’s cafe scene right outside your door, you might not bother. The WiFi is solid (I worked from there a couple of days without wanting to throw my laptop out the window), and the soundproofing is good enough that street noise isn’t an issue – something I always worry about in city center locations.

The staff knows their stuff without being overly formal about it. Check-in was smooth, they had solid recommendations for restaurants I wouldn’t have found on my own, and when I needed directions to the more obscure corners of the city, they actually knew what they were talking about. That 9.6 rating makes sense when you experience how the place runs – it’s not perfect in some grand luxury hotel way, but it gets the fundamentals so right that you stop thinking about the hotel and start focusing on exploring the city, which is exactly what you want.

Look, Łódź isn’t Warsaw or Krakow in terms of tourist traffic, and that works in your favor here. You’re getting quality accommodation in a fascinating city without the crowds or inflated prices of Poland’s more famous destinations. The former industrial vibe mixed with the growing arts scene gives the whole place this creative energy, and Apartament TRAM sits right in the middle of it all without making a big fuss about itself. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – a comfortable, well-run place to sleep while you figure out what makes a city tick.

  Apartament okazał się prawdziwą perełką – od pierwszej chwili widać i czuć dbałość o każdy szczegół. Wnętrze pachnące świeżością, gustownie urządzone, a przy tym niezwykle funkcjonalne. Pełne wyposażenie sprawia, że pobyt staje się komfortowy i bezproblemowy, między innymi podczas rodzinnego wyjazdu.
  Okolica spokojna, kameralne prywatne osiedle daje poczucie bezpieczeństwa, a jednocześnie lokalizacja pozwala szybko dotrzeć do centrum.
  Ogromnym atutem jest również kontakt z właścicielką – osobą serdeczną, cierpliwą i zawsze gotową do pomocy.
  Z całego serca polecam to miejsce każdemu, kto szuka wygody połączonej z estetyką i spokojem.

  Nowe, czyste zadbane mieszkanie, jest praktycznie wszystko czego trzeba. Jest nawet mini pl zabaw osiedlowy.

  I had a wonderful experience at Apartament TRAM. The apartment is brand new, just like the entire building, and everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. It’s a spacious and bright one-bedroom flat with a large balcony, making it feel more like a permanent residence than a short-term rental. The apartment was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The location is very convenient, with excellent access to public transport and everything you might need nearby. Communication with the owner was also fantastic, quick and helpful. I asked for a drying rack, and one was delivered to me immediately. Overall, it’s a perfect place both for a short stay and for someone looking for a longer-term home in Łódź. I would definitely stay here again.
