I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartament Sen on Dąbrowskiego Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this residential building in Łódź. The address had all those Polish letters that made my GPS hiccup, but once you know you’re looking for number 42A (apartment 70), it’s actually pretty straightforward to find. The building itself sits in one of those authentic Polish neighborhoods where you get a real feel for how locals live, not the touristy bubble you sometimes get stuck in.

What struck me right away was how quiet this area gets in the evenings – I mean, you’re still in the city, but Dąbrowskiego is more of a residential street, so you don’t get the tram noise or late-night foot traffic that can keep you up in more central locations. The apartment itself has that lived-in comfort that I honestly prefer over sterile hotel rooms. You know what I mean? It’s got personality. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the nearby Biedronka (there’s one just a few blocks away) and cook something instead of eating out every meal. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly fine for video calls – I had a work meeting one morning and didn’t have any connection issues, which, let’s face it, can make or break a stay these days.

Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Łódź – you’re close enough to walk to the city center when you want to explore Piotrkowska Street or check out the revitalized factory district, but far enough away that you feel like you’re getting an authentic slice of Polish life. I noticed the local bus connections are pretty solid too, though I ended up walking most places because the weather was decent and I liked seeing the mix of old tenement buildings and newer developments. The check-in process was smooth (they’re good about communicating via WhatsApp if you need anything), and honestly, for a 3-star place, it punches above its weight. Sure, it’s not going to have a fancy lobby or room service, but if you’re the type of traveler who values a clean, comfortable base with some local character over flashy amenities, this spot delivers. Just pack light if you’re staying on one of the higher floors – I don’t think there’s an elevator, but the stairs weren’t too bad and hey, it’s good exercise after all that pierogi.

  Mieszkanie nie jest duże, ale w 5 osób mieliśmy wystarczająco miejsca. Z miejsca zamieszkania wszędzie mieliśmy blisko. Smaczne jedzenie "U kucharzy" kilka kroków od stancji.

  I was looking for a place to stay a week or more in Lodz, and this apartment fully covered all my needs. It's not too big, nor too small — just good enough for 4 persons. Also, having balcony helps a lot if you wish little bit more of fresh air !! ;-)) Then, this property is kind of "virtually managed", e.g. you never meet the proprietary, and just receiving digi-code to access the building entry, and another code for the entry door in apartment, that's all !! — so, at least it's simply impossible to loose the keys ;-)) Now, if you wish to cook — you can, but personally I prefer to enjoy local food which is really really great !! — and there are many good restaurants on the walking distance, and much more in any other places in Lodz, and yet more bigger choice in a single place if you'll go / drive to Manufaktura !!
  
  Then, if you're curious about history, culture, or simply like to visit nice places — you'll have for your eyes in Lodz !! The Piotrkovska Street is must to visit regardless what do you like or not — you'll always find something nice for yourself, and this is the place from where Lodz was started in the past. The City Museum is a very nice historical Palace which may surprise you a lot and give you great memories about Lodz. And if you love Art Nouveau — there is a magic Villa Gallery (Galeria Willa) absolutely to see !!! As many many other things as well ;-))
  
  What could be improved: Several people mentioned in the comments that parking is not easy at this property, and I may only confirm that it's true !! — and you need really pay attention where you're leaving your car, because people around are not really good and attentive drivers.. My car was damaged in the parking by someone inattentive who is not looking around when driving. Fortunately I could continue to drive and plan reparations for later, but such a bad surprise is never good to have, keeping in mind that it could be even worse ;-))
