Sometimes the most intriguingly named places end up surprising you the most. This converted loft space sits right in Łódź’s Śródmieście district, and I mean really *in* it – you’re essentially in the heart of everything that makes this former textile city tick.

The apartment itself has this industrial-chic vibe going on that genuinely works. The exposed brick and high ceilings give it character without being overdone, and honestly, after spending time in cookie-cutter hotel rooms, there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere with real personality. The space feels lived-in but not worn down, if that makes sense. I particularly appreciated the tall windows – they let in loads of natural light during the day, though you’ll want to master those curtains if you’re not an early riser (learned that the hard way on my second morning). The kitchen setup is more practical than I anticipated too, which came in handy since Łódź has some fantastic local markets where you can pick up fresh ingredients.

Location-wise, you’re ideally positioned to explore what locals call the “real” Łódź. Piotrkowska Street – the main pedestrian thoroughfare that everyone talks about – is just a short stroll away, but you’re far enough from the weekend crowds that you won’t hear every bar conversation through your windows. I spent most evenings wandering through the nearby streets, discovering those incredible murals that appear on random building walls (there’s this massive one about three blocks east that barely anyone mentions in guidebooks). The tram connections are reliable too, though honestly, most of what you’ll want to see in the city center is walkable from here. Parking can be a bit of a challenge – it’s street parking mostly, and you’ll want to pay attention to the signs because they’re pretty strict about enforcement. But that’s city living in Poland, really. The 7.4 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but it delivers on what it promises: a comfortable, authentic base for exploring one of Poland’s most underrated cities. You get the sense that whoever runs this place actually cares about the details, from the decent Wi-Fi to the surprisingly good shower pressure.

  Location, space, mini kitchen with all necessary utilities, in general the description corresponds to reality.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is on the last fifth floor of an old building without an elevator. It was not highlighted in the description. For older people it would not be possible to get there. Not all furniture is as on pictures. Pillows are too small and not comfortable. We received only 1 blanket while it was very cold in the apartment and 2 towels (1 big and 1 small) for 2 people. It was clean, but not everywhere (footprint on the mattress pad, some dust in the bathroom). Dishes also were not clean enough, though there is a dishwasher in the apartment. Maybe management should change the cleaning service. So many minor things that spoiled the general impression.

  Po raz kolejny wracam do tego miejsca, ponieważ po prostu lubię tam mieszkać. Kiedy spędza się dużo czasu w podróżach służbowych, takie miejsca jak to są ważne, bo wraca się tam, gdzie się zna przestrzeń i gdzie się dobrze czuje. Tak właśnie czuję się w tym obiekcie – jest w centrum, jest wygodnie i wystarczająco dobrze dla 2 osób (pary) a dla jednej osoby to miejsce jest super. Stosunek jakości do ceny jest bardzo korzystny….
  
  What could be improved: … ale obserwuję to miejsce od jakiegoś już czasu, podczas kolejnych wizyt i widzę, że przydałoby się odświeżyć drobnostki, które ulegają zużyciu. Łóżko jest już co prawda nowe ale nadal zostają zlew, wieszak, roletki … czjanik. To nieduże koszty a efekt będzie naprawdę Glamour 😉 Miejsce tylko zyska i z mojej na przykład oceny: dobrze znów wskoczy na SUPER! Bo już było super – bardzo prosze do tego wrócić <3

  Bardzo dobra lokalizacja, dobry kontakt z Gospodarzem obiektu, jasna instrukcja odebrania kluczy ze skrzynki, mieszkanie ładne, dobrze wyposażone
  
  What could be improved: Wchodzenie na ostatnie piętro schodami było uciążliwe. Była informacja na ten temat w opisie obiektu, ale to nie zmienia faktu, że trzeba było się jednak wdrapać na samą górę.
  
  Głównym minusem nie było jednak piętro, tylko cienkie ściany. Było słychać rozmowy i muzykę zza ściany i udało mi się usnąć dopiero, gdy sąsiedzi poszli spać (o 1:30)

  The location is right in the town center, main street Piotrkowska (5 km, longest in Poland, beautiful street with restaurant, bars and etc.) is 2 min away. Considering that the place is in the center there is possibility to park you car near the flat for free, but the parking a bit chaos and when I arrived in the evening I only found 1 normal place left.
  
  What could be improved: It looks like the owner has abandoned this flat and don't care about it. The stay was not pleasant, bathroom tiles are made not professionally, they are not leveled at all, you can cut your barefoot to corners, even the gaps between tiles are not filled, shower holder is broken, light pulp in bathroom all time blinking, sink is not connected properly and hygienist, no soap in the shower, and near the sink soap bottle is broken too, main door handle is shaking, lining and pillows dirty, but the BIGGEST problem was bed – it was BROKEN, we could not get proper sleep (when we came back late at night, tired and exhausted, and got to bed only then we realized). The main reason we all use booking is for sleep/rest and this time there were not even where to sleep.
