I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartament Łodzianka on Kilińskiego Street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another apartment building in Śródmieście. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the outside.

The location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings in Łódź. You’re right in the heart of the city center, which means you can walk to Piotrkowska Street (that’s the main pedestrian drag everyone talks about) in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if you’re stopping to peek into shop windows. What I really loved was how quiet it stays at night – Kilińskiego is busy enough during the day that you feel connected to the city, but it’s not one of those streets where you’ll hear trams clanging or late-night revelers stumbling around at 2 AM. The building itself has that solid, old-school Polish architecture feel, though the apartment units have been nicely updated inside.

Speaking of the apartments, they’ve really nailed that sweet spot between feeling homey and being practical for travelers. The kitchenette was properly equipped – I mean, you could actually cook a real meal if you wanted to, not just heat up instant noodles. The bathroom was spotless (always a relief in apartment rentals), and honestly, the bed was more comfortable than some four-star hotels I’ve stayed at. There’s decent natural light coming in, which matters more than you’d think when you’re spending a few days somewhere. What struck me most was how the place felt lived-in rather than sterile – there were little touches that made it clear someone actually cares about guests having a good experience, not just checking boxes on a booking site. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of Łódź, but the hosts were really helpful with suggestions for nearby spots that won’t cost you a fortune.

The 9.6 rating isn’t just inflated review scores – it’s because places like this understand what travelers actually need. You’re not paying for a fancy lobby or concierge service you’ll never use, but you get reliable WiFi, proper heating (crucial in Polish winters, trust me), and hosts who respond quickly when you have questions. It’s maybe a fifteen-minute walk to the Manufaktura shopping center if you need anything, and there are some genuinely good restaurants tucked into the surrounding streets that most tourists miss entirely. For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight – I’d choose this over some of the pricier hotels closer to the main tourist areas because you get more space, better value, and you’re still perfectly positioned to explore everything Łódź has to offer.

  Ogółem super, wszystkie niezbędne rzeczy na miejscu (np. suszarka do włosów i żelazko). Instrukcja zameldowania jasna, prosta i zrozumiała. Łóżko dla mnie za miękkie, ale kanapa się sprawdziła. Duży plus za możliwość zameldowania godzinę wcześniej po wcześniejszym kontakcie.
  
  What could be improved: Wiem, że właściciel nie ma na to wpływu, ale sąsiedzi z dołu przez cały dzień co 30 minut wychodzą na balkon na fajkę, więc jak komuś ten zapach przeszkadza, tak jak mi, to nie polecam otwierać okien (w ciepłe dni przydałaby sie tu klimatyzacja)

  I needed a place for a short stay in Łódź and I loved the apartment – it would be perfect for a longer stay! Conveniently located near one of the train stations and close to Piotrkowska street, nicely arranged and comfortably furnished, with very nice and communicative hosts – they even agreed to a checkout an hour later! The instructions for checkin are clear and easy. I would definitely stay here again if I need accomodation in Łódź – so far the best place I’ve stayed in there.
  
  What could be improved: The view from the balcony is a bit unpleasant – on old, empty buildings waiting for restoration – but I guess you can also take it as a part of the city specific charm:) Still, I felt safe – location is 9/10 in my opinion:)

  Very well equiped apartment in the new building with an underground parking space. Location is very convenient, right next to the main street and all city's fun. My dog was accepted without extra fee. Communication with hostess is nice and polite, but limited to texting (no English).
  
  What could be improved: Check-in instructions were a little incomplete – building has 2 entrances, you need the one from the roundabout side. If you'll be using undeground parking, look for elevator B to go up.

  What could be improved: If it is a studio, like this, it would be better to have some darker curtains. The curtains were almost transparant.
  The light was a bit bright, it could be nice to place a smaller lamp in the living area to create a bit more atmosphere.
  But this is a detail, it is a very good accommodation overall.
