You know what? I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked Apartament Latarnik – PIOTRKOWSKA 37, but honestly, this place surprised me in all the right ways. I mean, when you see an address on Piotrkowska Street, you’re thinking prime real estate – and you’d be right – but the fourth floor walk-up situation had me wondering if I’d made the right call. Well, I’m glad I didn’t chicken out because this apartment turned out to be exactly what I needed for exploring Łódź.

The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with street-level chaos. Piotrkowska is basically the Times Square of Łódź (okay, maybe that’s overselling it, but you get the idea), and being right at number 37 puts you smack in the middle of all the good stuff. I could walk to pretty much any restaurant or bar I wanted to try, and there’s this great little coffee shop just two blocks down that locals seem to love – discovered it by accident on my second morning. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical rental. It’s got that lived-in comfort without being messy, if that makes sense. The windows face the street, so yeah, you’ll hear some activity, especially on weekend nights, but it’s more of a gentle urban hum than anything disruptive. Actually added to the whole “I’m really in Poland” experience for me.

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The kitchen had actual spices and cooking basics – not just the bare minimum you usually find in rentals. There’s solid WiFi (tested it extensively while catching up on work), and the shower pressure is surprisingly good for an older building. The host clearly knows what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos. Parking can be tricky around here – it’s city center, so that’s expected – but there’s a public garage about a five-minute walk away that’s not too expensive. I ended up just walking everywhere anyway since Srodmiescie is totally walkable, and you’re close enough to the main train station that day trips are super easy. If you’re coming to Łódź and want to actually experience the city rather than just pass through, this spot gives you that authentic Polish apartment living vibe while keeping you connected to everything worth seeing. Just remember it’s on the fourth floor, so pack light or embrace the daily cardio!

  Apartament w samym centrum Piotrkowskiej, z najlepszym widokiem z balkonu. Mieszkanie wyjątkowo czyste, świetnie wyposażone. Świetliki w suficie sprawiają , że w pokoju jest jasno, a w łazience ma się wrażenie, że w dzień ktoś nie zgasił światła, świetne rozwiązanie. Ogromny telewizor oraz głośniki wbudowane w ściany również w łazience, pralka, żelazko, mikrofala, expres do kawy, ogólnie mówiąc wszystko co jest potrzebne. Jedyny minus to brak windy i wniesienie bagaży na 4 piętro jest uciążliwe, ale nie ma to żadnego wpływu na ocenę całościową. Polecam każdemu.

  This is an exceptional place. Old building greatly renovated. The apartment is modern, but with a retro touch like a microwave, fridge and other appliances. It looks great. Air condition is very quiet and gives you the comfort. The balcony and view is just wow. That is exactly what i wanted. The nice touch was a leaflet with an information about the building, the original owner which refers to the multiethnic history of city of Lodz

  Location is right in the heart of Piotrkowska Street, with everything you need on your doorstep.

  One of the best apartments we've stayed in! Central location, immaculate and stylish. Up with the gods on the beautiful balcony! Really enjoyed our two night break. Lovely bars and restaurants close by. Recommend a visit to Manufactura and Museum of the Ciy of Lodz. Be mindful, shops are shut on Sundays!

  I was very surprised how nice a city Lódz is. The apartment is located on the most popular street on the 4th floor with a truly unique view. Inside fully equipped, comfortable, quiet, has very good energy;) the owner was very nice and helpful. I recommend visiting Lodz and staying in the heart of the city in Latarnik apartment 😍
