You know what caught me off guard about Apartament Księży Młyn? I was expecting just another apartment rental in Łódź, but this place actually sits in one of the city’s most fascinating neighborhoods – and I mean that in the best way possible. The building on Targowa 53 is right in the heart of the old textile district, where you can still see remnants of the industrial past that made Łódź famous. Walking around here, you’ll notice the mix of restored red-brick factories and modern developments, and honestly, it gives the whole area this authentic character you don’t find in the more touristy parts of Polish cities.

The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully it’s been set up. I mean, a 9.6 rating isn’t something you see every day, but after staying there I get it completely. Everything works – and I know that sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places miss that mark. The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook (I grabbed some pierogi from the nearby market and heated them up perfectly), the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the shower has proper water pressure. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re on a fairly busy street. The windows do their job well, which matters because Targowa can get a bit lively during the day with all the foot traffic heading to and from the city center.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to Piotrkowska Street – Łódź’s main pedestrian drag where all the restaurants and bars are – but you’re far enough away that you don’t deal with the weekend noise. There’s a small grocery store basically next door, which saved me multiple times when I realized I’d forgotten something essential. The tram stop is close enough that getting around the city is straightforward, though honestly, I found myself walking most places because this part of Łódź is surprisingly compact. One thing to note – parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but the host was helpful about explaining the local street parking situation. It’s not impossible, just requires a bit of planning ahead, especially during weekdays when the area gets busier with people working in the nearby offices and studios that have moved into the old factory spaces.

  Apartament spełnił moje oczekiwania na krótki wypad z rodziną. Czysty, zadbany, wyposażony w niezbędne udogodnienia. Sprawny kontakt z administratorem. Dla nas lokalizacja idealna. Plus za podnóżek w łazience i bezpłatne łóżeczko dla malucha.
  
  What could be improved: Przydałby się jakiś wieszak w okolicach drzwi wejściowych żeby powiesić kurtkę czy bluzę. Kuchnie warto by doposażyć w małe miseczki na płatki śniadaniowe.

  Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel fußläufig gut erreichbar.
  Żabka fast vor der Tür.
  Mit der Ausstattung der Wohnung waren wir mega zufrieden.
  Genug Bettwäsche und Handtücher, Waschmaschine und Wäschetrockner plus Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett.
  Kostenloses Beistellbett inkl. Bettzeug für unser Kind.
  Für uns war alles perfekt.
  Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
