I appreciated the little touches, like having enough outlets near the bed (seriously, why don’t more places think of this?) and curtains that actually block out the morning light. The kitchen area is compact but functional – I managed to make decent coffee and heat up some pierogi from the market down the street without any drama.

What really won me over was the neighborhood itself. Zarzewska is one of those streets where you’ll see babcias heading to the local sklep in the morning and kids playing in the courtyard in the evenings. There’s this great little bakery about a five-minute walk away where the bread is still warm at 7 AM, and if you’re into that whole authentic Polish experience thing, the local bar mleczny serves up cheap, filling meals that’ll fuel you for hours of wandering around the city. The tram connections are decent too – you can get to the main train station or the city center without too much hassle, though I’d recommend grabbing a day pass if you’re planning to bounce around a lot.

Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the shower pressure is just okay, but for the price point and that blessed air conditioning, I’d definitely stay here again. The 8.6 rating makes sense – it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. Plus, the check-in was refreshingly simple, none of that awkward waiting around while someone fumbles with keys or tries to explain wifi passwords in broken English. If you’re looking for a solid base to explore Łódź without breaking the bank, especially during the warmer months, this spot hits the mark.
