Sometimes the most unexpectedly named spots turn out to be absolute gems, and this three-star apartment on Wólczańska street is exactly that kind of pleasant surprise.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Łódź at all. Wólczańska runs right through the heart of things, and being in Śródmieście means you’re walking distance from the main drag without dealing with the weekend chaos that hits closer to Piotrkowska. The building itself sits at number 188, tucked into this interesting mix of pre-war architecture and newer developments that somehow works really well together. What really sold me on this place though was stepping into that bathroom – and yes, the “z Wanną” (with bathtub) part of the name is no joke. After spending days walking around Łódź’s cobblestone streets, sinking into a proper bathtub felt like pure luxury. It’s one of those deep, actually-fits-a-full-sized-human tubs, not those tiny European afterthoughts you sometimes get.

The parking situation deserves its own mention since it’s literally part of the hotel’s name – and honestly, they’re not overselling it. Street parking around here during weeknights can be a bit of a scramble, but evenings and weekends? You’re golden. I actually ended up chatting with a local who told me most of the spots free up after 6 PM when the office workers head home, and weekends are practically empty. The apartment itself has that comfortable, lived-in feeling without being worn down – you can tell someone actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchen setup is perfect for those nights when you want to grab groceries from the Żabka down the street instead of hunting for dinner, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase properly (something I never thought I’d appreciate until I started doing it). The 9.9 rating isn’t some fluke either – the attention to small details really shows, from having proper hangers in the closet to blackout curtains that actually block out the morning light from Wólczańska. It’s the kind of place where you find yourself thinking “oh good, they thought of that” instead of constantly working around little annoyances that pile up over a few days.
