Apartament Danoe Overview

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Apartament Danoe on Piotrkowska Street – I mean, Łódź isn’t exactly the first Polish city that pops into most people’s heads. But you know what? This place completely surprised me, and now I actually get why it’s sitting at a 9.8 rating.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to experience the real Łódź. You’re literally on Piotrkowska, which is this amazing pedestrian street that stretches for miles (well, it feels like miles when you’re walking it). I loved being able to step right out and grab coffee at one of those little sidewalk cafes, or duck into the vintage shops and galleries that line the street. The apartment itself has this wonderfully restored feel – you can tell someone actually cared about preserving the character of the building while making it comfortable for modern travelers. The ceilings are high, the windows are these beautiful old ones that let in tons of light, and there’s just something about the way everything’s arranged that feels… I don’t know, thoughtful? Like someone who actually lives in spaces like this designed it, not some corporate hotel chain.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being right in the center of things. Piotrkowska can get lively during the day with all the foot traffic and street performers, but once evening settles in, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The apartment comes with everything you’d actually want – a proper kitchen (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), really comfortable bedding, and honestly some of the best water pressure I’ve had in a European apartment rental. I also appreciated the little touches, like having actual wine glasses instead of those plastic things, and the bathroom setup that doesn’t require you to flood the entire floor just to take a shower. The WiFi was solid too, which matters when you’re trying to figure out which tram gets you to Manufaktura or when the good pierogi place around the corner opens. Speaking of which – there’s this fantastic milk bar just a few blocks away that locals actually go to, not just tourists. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a nightmare (there’s a garage nearby if you’re driving), and the whole experience just felt… easy, I guess? Sometimes the best compliment you can give a place is that it doesn’t get in the way of why you came to visit.

  Pobyt w tym apartamencie to była czysta przyjemność! Przestronnie, elegancko i nowocześnie wszystko urządzone ze smakiem i dbałością. Lokalizacja wręcz idealna w samym sercu Łodzi, przy Piotrkowskiej, więc wszędzie blisko. Z okna widok na zaparkowane auto, co może nie brzmi jak atrakcja turystyczna, ale dla nas było to bardzo wygodne i bezpieczne 🙂 OGROMNY plus za przesympatycznych właścicieli — pomocni, zaangażowani i zawsze dostępni. Rewelacja pod każdym względem na pewno wrócimy!

  We like design, view from balcony. Everything in the apartment is thought out to the smallest detail, which is very comfortable and you feel at home. Parking is visible from the window, from it to the apartments – 5 minutes walk. Very interesting patio. Elevator. Convenient check-in-check out.

  Danoe apartment is simple amazing – very stylish, quite, spacious and comfortable. The owner was super polite, sent us all the information how to find the apartment, where to park the car etc and let us check in even earlier. My highest recommendations for this place.
