I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartament Blu on Gdańska street, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this 3-star spot in Łódź. The building looks pretty standard from the outside, but you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you right off the bat.

What really won me over was how genuinely comfortable everything felt once I got inside. The apartment setup is actually perfect if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two – there’s proper kitchen space (not just a sad mini-fridge situation), and the living area has this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. I mean, after a day of wandering around Łódź’s industrial heritage sites or checking out Piotrkowska Street, it’s nice to come back somewhere you can actually spread out a bit. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it gets all the important stuff right.

Location-wise, you’re in a pretty solid residential area that gives you a real feel for how people actually live in Łódź. Gdańska isn’t the most touristy street, which I actually appreciated because you get authentic neighborhood vibes without the markup prices. There’s a decent grocery store within walking distance (super handy for stocking that kitchen), and honestly, the tram connections from this area are better than you’d think. I found myself using public transport way more than I expected because it was just… easy from here. The only thing I’d mention is that it can get a bit quiet in the evenings – not dead quiet, but definitely more residential calm than city buzz. Some people love that, others might find it a bit sleepy. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Polish cities will appreciate. Overall, if you want a place that feels more like temporary living than temporary staying, and you don’t need someone to carry your bags or fold your towels into swans, this place really delivers on comfort and value.

  The location is wonderful.
  I loved cooking on the kitchen, it is very comfortable and all in all the kitchen zone is chick. It is very light and inspiring. Equipped with all the necessary thing to live like it is your own flat. Gorgeous feeling. We used dishwasher and washing machine often and it worked good too. The bed linen was clean, fresh and sleepy)))
  The bathroom is amazing, especially bath and led-mirror. There is also child playground on the territory. And lots of beauty salons, cafes etc. All in all we felt like home.
  
  What could be improved: The floor was very dirty. I washed it several times, and still the dirt was sticking to my feet.
  There were only 2 dishwasher tablets, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 2 laundry detergent pods. It would be nice to have enough supplies for one laundry load every two days and one dishwasher cycle daily.
  There were insects in the bathroom. Every day I found a new bug. Luckily, no spiders – God bless.
  
  Almost all power sockets in the apartment were badly damaged, especially the ones in the living room and in the bedroom opposite the bed.
  The bar stool is extremely wobbly and feels like it could fall apart at any moment.
  Also, for the first two days, we couldn’t get into the apartment because of the door lock. You don’t need to press the hash key before entering the number, and the door handle needs to be turned very hard – I didn’t have enough strength and had to spend around 15 minutes at the door just to open it

  Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Bliskość do centrum, ul. Piotrkowskiej, Galerii Łódzkiej, Nowej Sukcesji, Pasażu Łódzkiego, Atlas Areny, Parku itp. Stosunek ceny do jakości. Czysto. Niczego nie brakowało. Łóżko i kanapy wygodne. Wejście i komunikaty dobrze objaśnione. Na przeciwko McDonald z parkingiem 1h free.
  
  What could be improved: Tylko kilka miejsc parkingowych pod blokiem, choć jakimś cudem udało mi się zaparkować. Delikatne sugestie aby wybrać płatny parking podziemny, powołując się na włamania i uszkodzenia w przeszłości. Niestety mimo, że jest to 1 piętro to wyjście jest na ogródek, skąd przychodzą mrówki. Drugiego dnia woda była w odcieniu żółtego koloru, być może jakaś awaria. Zły spadek z łazienki do przedpokoju – trzeba uważać aby nie zalać wodą, jest tylko mop i wadro ale be możliwości wyciśnięcia.

  Все было чисто, уютно, как на фото. При заезде оказалось, что электрочайник сломался, нам его заменили.
  
  What could be improved: Диваны были поломаны и в разложенном виде один из них вообще было бы сложно использовать. Но нам и без него хватило спальных мест.

  Location wise it is really a good place. McDonald's is just a few steps away. Żabka and other restaurants as well. The place is located on the ground floor with balcony to have a fresh air breath, it's clean plus more towels which is really good. It is a big space for family or friends to move around. Everything is coded which respects your privacy. Perfect for staycation.
  
  What could be improved: Downside is, we requested an electric fan since it's not an air-conditioned apartment which i missed to notice and surprisingly they didn't provide one. It should be automatically done even without requesting since its summer. We have to buy to be able to sleep. What is the use of the request option if simple electric fan request can't be done?
