The apartment sits right on Karolewska street, and I’m talking maybe a 5-minute walk to the zoo entrance – you can actually hear the peacocks in the morning if you open your windows, which sounds annoying but is surprisingly charming.

What really surprised me though was how much this place punches above its weight for a 3-star spot. The apartment itself is one of those converted buildings that keeps the original character but doesn’t feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The floors creak just enough to feel authentic without being obnoxious, and there’s this little kitchenette that actually has everything you need – not just a sad mini-fridge and a broken coffee maker like some places. I spent a decent chunk of one evening cooking there after grabbing ingredients from the Żabka down the street, and it felt properly homey. The Atlas Arena connection is legit too – if there’s an event happening, you’re looking at maybe a 10-minute tram ride, though honestly the tram system in Łódź is way better than anyone gives it credit for.

You know what really sealed the deal for me? The little details that show someone actually cares about this place. There were extra blankets in the wardrobe (and trust me, Polish nights can get chilly even in summer), the WiFi password was written clearly on a little card instead of being some impossible-to-read scribble, and – this might sound weird – but the shower pressure was absolutely perfect. I’ve stayed in fancy hotels where the water barely trickles out, but this place gets it right. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. The neighborhood feels safe for walking around at night, there’s decent parking if you’re driving (though honestly, you won’t need a car much), and the whole area has this lived-in, authentic Polish feel that you miss when you’re stuck in some generic hotel chain near the city center. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to feel like you’re actually experiencing a place rather than just passing through it, this apartment gets it right.

Czytelne informacje od prowadzących obiekt. Dostęp do mieszkania w pełni zautomatyzowany. Czyste i wygodne łóżko. Świetna opcja na krótki pobyt.

  What could be improved: Zamek w drzwiach. Zamek jest do wymiany. Mieliśmy duże problemy aby wejść do mieszkania. Grzebanie w zamku o godz. 12 w nocy na klatce i strach, ze nie bedziemy mieli gdzie spać, nie należy do przyjemności. A telefon kontaktowy nie odpowiadał. Swobodne wejscie/wyjście do apartamentu to podstawa udanego pobytu. Musielismy rano zmienic swoje plany.
