I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Apartament Atłasowy by Good Time on Piotrkowska Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The entrance is on the first floor (which is actually the second floor for us Americans, but you know how European building numbering works), and there’s something charmingly understated about the whole setup. You’re literally staying right in the heart of Łódź’s main pedestrian strip, which means you can stumble out your door and be among all the cafes, bars, and street art within seconds.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to create this surprisingly quiet sanctuary despite being smack in the middle of everything. I mean, Piotrkowska can get pretty lively – especially on weekends when the locals are out bar hopping – but once you’re inside, the sound just sort of melts away. The apartment itself feels more spacious than most hotel rooms you’d get at this price point, and honestly, the attention to detail impressed me. Everything from the lighting to the way they’ve arranged the furniture feels thoughtful rather than just thrown together. The kitchen setup is actually functional too, not one of those sad hotel kitchenettes where you can barely boil water. I ended up grabbing fresh bread from one of the nearby bakeries and making proper breakfast, which felt surprisingly homey.

The location thing can’t be overstated though – you’re basically living like a local in Śródmieście, and that’s worth something. Within a five-minute walk, you’ve got everything from traditional Polish restaurants to quirky little vintage shops that you’d never find in guidebooks. The tram connections are solid if you want to explore other parts of the city (the Manufaktura shopping center is pretty easy to reach), but honestly, I found myself just wandering up and down Piotrkowska most evenings. There’s this energy to the street that’s hard to describe – it’s not touristy in an overwhelming way, but there’s definitely life happening. The only minor thing I’d mention is that parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but that’s just city center reality. For the price and that 9-star rating guests have been giving it, you’re getting way more character and space than you’d find in some generic hotel chain, plus you actually feel connected to the city instead of isolated in some business district.

  Great apartment in a very good location – right on the main street but in a quiet yard. We were allowed to leave our bags before check-in. The apartment is very clean and comfortable with all the necessities.
  
  What could be improved: The walls between the rooms seem to be made of paper – we were woken up in the middle of the night by people talking in the room next to us. But it's nothing that a pair of earplugs can't solve 🙂
