I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Apartament Alpha, I wasn’t expecting much. The building on Sucha Street looks pretty standard from the outside, just another residential block in Łódź’s Śródmieście district. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the curb.

What actually won me over was how genuinely comfortable this place feels once you’re inside. The apartments have this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. I mean, sure, it’s a 3-star property so don’t expect marble everything, but honestly the furnishings are thoughtful and the kitchenettes are actually functional – not those sad little setups with a mini-fridge and broken coffee maker you usually get. The fact that it’s pulling an 8.3 rating makes total sense when you realize how much attention they’ve paid to the details that matter. Good water pressure, decent Wi-Fi, and windows that actually keep the street noise down (which matters more than you’d think on Sucha, especially when the trams start running early).

Location-wise, you’re pretty well positioned here. Sucha Street itself is quiet enough that you’ll sleep well, but you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Piotrkowska Street – that’s Łódź’s main pedestrian strip where all the restaurants and nightlife happen. The Manufaktura shopping center is close too, though honestly I’d skip the tourist traps there and head to the local spots along Piotrkowska instead. What I really appreciated was having a Żabka convenience store practically next door and decent public transport connections. The building doesn’t have its own parking (most don’t in this area), but there’s usually street parking available if you’re driving – just watch the signs because some spots have time limits during the day. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward hovering around a lobby situation since it’s apartment-style. They’ll meet you at the building and get you sorted quickly, which I appreciated after a long travel day.

Look, Apartament Alpha isn’t going to blow your mind with luxury, but it nails the fundamentals in a way that actually matters when you’re exploring a city like Łódź. The value is solid, the location works, and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels authentic rather than corporate. If you’re the type who values having your own space to decompress after wandering around the city all day – maybe cook a simple meal or just spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase – this hits the sweet spot.

  Wszystko czego potrzeba podczas kilkudniowego pobytu. Kuchnia wyposażona, ręczniki, pościel czysta. Łatwy dostęp do budynku, opcjonalnie można wziąć miejsce parkingowe w garażu podziemnym. Dobrze opisane wskazówki dojazdu i wejścia.

  What could be improved: With the window open, it was a bit noisy at night, and one of the neighbors kept smoking—not exactly regular cigarettes—which was quite irritating.

  Ideální ubytování pro introverty a lidi co neumějí jazyky 😀 Protože předání klíču vůbec neproběhne, pošlou vám kód kterým se dostatnete dovnitř. S majitelem jsem se ani nepotkal.Komunikace byla přes aplikaci a probíhala perfektně.Mohu vřele doporučit.

  It is a spacious apartment that easily has room for two. All amenities like stove, oven, microwave, and a large fridge and freezer are also all present so it is easy to make your own meals and feel at home. The apartment is located in a quiet area outside the city center but very close to public transport that will quickly get you to the city center. There are some small convenience stores within a few minutes walking, and a Lidl a little further away for all your needs. Several good dining places are also within walking distance. I managed to loose track of time and check out too late, but the host was forthcoming and extended the access so I could get my stuff out and clean up before leaving.
  
  What could be improved: There was no hot water for the first four days of my stay due to maintenance, which was not communicated to me beforehand so I had to find out by getting a cold shower.
